3 different techniques in Breast Lift operation

Lollipop Technique

In this technique, excess skin at the bottom part of the sagging breast will be removed and the remaining part will be reshaped. With lollipop technique, there’s a risk of pot formation in the areas where the incision is made. These pots sometimes will disappear spontaneously, however in some cases a new surgical procedure will be needed.

Benelli/Nipple Technique

This technique has the lowest risk of scarring. In this technique an incision around the nipple will be made. The sagging parts of the breast will be removed and the nipple will be re-positioned by few inches up. Stitches will be made in the areola part around the nipple. Even though there’s scarring potential but it will be invisible within a short period of time.

This technique is generally carried out for patients whose breasts are no longer elastic.

“T” Technique

In this technique, an inverted T-shaped incision will be made in the lower part of the breast and then excess tissue will be removed. The“T”  technique is absolute for acute breast sagging problem.

Regardless of whichever technique used, excess tissue will be removed if the breast is larger than what it should be. In case of small breasts, silicone support will be used to help reshape the breast into its ideal form. Surgeon will determine the most suitable technique to be used for the patient.
