What is Health Visa?

It’s a type of visa developed for patients who will visit Turkey for health treatment. With this visa, patients may travel to Turkey directly without the need to queue in line at the Turkish consulate in their home country.

How long is the validity period for Health Visa?

Issued health visa is valid for 90 days. With health visa, patients and their companions may enter Turkey only via airway. This type of visa is invalid for entrance to Turkey via land route.

Which treatment service is valid for Health Visa?

In general, health visa is issued for all types of treatment services. In addition to complex treatments such as cardiology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, oncology and organ transplant, Turkey is one of the destination preferred by all for aesthethic surgery, hair transplant and dental treatments.

When will my Health Visa application be approved?

Applications will be replied by the relevant consulate within 1 working day.

Citizens from which countries need Health Visa?

Health Visa services are provided to the citizens of all countries that will need entrance visa upon arrival to Turkey e.g Iraq, Libya, Algeria, Pakistan, etc.

Documents required for Health Visa application:

  • Biometric Photo
  • Official document issued by hospital stating the necessity of the treatment to be received
  • Flight reservation
  • Hotel reservation
  • Document indicating patients ability to cover all treatment expenses.
  • Passport’s front page
  • Treatment cost payment receipt indicating that the treatment has been paid to the hospital in Turkey.
  • Mandatory health insurance or travel insurance
